Le tratteggio est une technique de restauration de peintures qui, s'appuyant sur une documentation de l'œuvre à restaurer, consiste en de fines hachures colorées qui restituent visuellement la partie manquante ou altérée sans pour autant la reconstituer entièrement.
Transposant le graphisme des petites touches verticales faites au pinceau en différentes caractères, vectorisés, puis reportés comme en suspens sur une toile transparente, Hugues Decointet étend ce principe de restitution à des oeuvres qu'il a admiré, qui sont à l'origine de certains de ses travaux, ou les ont côtoyés lors d'exposition.
Tratteggio is a technique for restoring paintings which, based on documentation of the work to be restored, consists of fine colored hatching which visually restores the missing or altered part without necessarily reconstructing it entirely.
Transposing the graphic design of small vertical strokes made with a brush into different shapes or characters, vectorized, then transferred as if suspended on a transparent canvas, Hugues Decointet extends this principle of restitution to works that he admired, which are at the origin of some of his works, or be gathered on the occasion of an exhibition.
